What to bring
Pack for the sun, the creek and a cool morning
Camp opens at the gate table at 8:30 a.m. Label everything with your camper's first name.
Closed-toe shoes
For the meadow, the barn and the ropes course. Sandals go in the pack for the pavilion only.
Water shoes
For the creek. Old sneakers work, as long as they are fine to get wet.
A hat with a brim
The sun is strong at this height even on a cool day. A few spares wait at the gate table.
Sunscreen, already on
Put it on at home. We stop for a sunscreen break after creek time and a counselor reminds each camper.
A filled water bottle
Labeled, and filled before camp. We refill at every break.
A layer for the morning
Mornings can be cold at the ranch lot. A fleece or sweatshirt comes off as the day warms up.
Lunch and leaving things home
Lunch in a cold pack, and phones in the pack
Lunch and an afternoon snack come from home, so you decide what your camper eats. We do not share food between campers.
Phones, tablets and toys stay at home. If your camper carries a phone for after camp, it stays off in the pack until pickup, and the gate number always reaches a person.
A packed lunch and a snack
A change of socks
Phones and toys stay home
