Family policies

We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.

Closed-toe shoes for the ranch, water shoes for the creek, a hat with a brim, sunscreen already on, a water bottle and a layer for cool mornings. Phones, tablets and toys stay at home, and everything that comes should have your camper's first name on it.

Sunscreen goes on at home and again after creek time, with a counselor reminding each camper. Creek time is wading in water shoes with a counselor in the water, and life jackets hang on the rail for any camper who wants one.

Pickup is at the gate table at 3:30 p.m. An adult on your list signs your camper out, and we ask for ID until we know you. If someone new is coming, tell us that morning and we will put them on the list.

A camper with a fever, or who is too unwell to join in, stays home until they feel well again. If a camper feels ill at camp, we call you and a counselor stays with them until you arrive.

Lunch and an afternoon snack come from home, so you decide what your camper eats. Tell us about allergies when you register; we ask what we need privately and share a plan only with the counselors who need it.

Camp is closed for the Independence Day holiday. In lightning we move into the barn, and on smoke days we move the whole day indoors. We text families before camp starts if the plan changes.

Campers leave phones and screens at home. A phone that comes for after camp stays off in the pack until pickup, and the gate number always reaches a person.
