The team

The adults who run camp

Bandana runs on two directors and two counselors for every group. Every one of them is at the gate table at drop-off.

  • The co-director leaning on a ranch fence with a red bandana at his neck

    Jed Weldon

    Co-director and owner

Jed runs the creek and ropes days and answers the gate phone before camp. He built the ropes course one element at a time and checks every one of them each morning.

  • The co-director in front of a wooden camp cabin with trees behind her

    Lavonne Weldon

    Co-director and owner

Lavonne runs registration, the barn weeks and the Friday family hour. She is the first call for allergies, medicine and anything a parent wants to talk through.

  • Aubree Chapa, creek and trail lead, in a yellow rain jacket on a cabin porch

    Aubree Chapa

    Creek and trail lead

Aubree leads the creek days and the Wednesday trail walks. She grew up in Durango and knows the trail above the ranch lot by heart.

  • Finn Alcott, barn and ropes lead, standing on a grassy field beside a canvas tent

    Finn Alcott

    Barn and ropes lead

Finn leads the barn projects and stands beside the ropes course elements. He keeps the barn supplies stocked and the rainy-day plan ready.
